The My Profile Page

My Profile lets you centrally maintain your contact and account information for all your bill payment service accounts and online retail sites where you can click the CheckFree button to pay for your purchases. It's easy to keep your profile up to date from this one secure location. Be sure to keep your information current so that your records are accurate.

If you change your e-mail address and don't see your e-bill notifications or other messages from MyCheckFree.com regarding your bill payment service, check your spam folder. Occasionally, messages are flagged as spam by e-mail service providers. If this happens, add the e-mail address from a message or e-bill notification to your address book. Check your e-mail program for more details about managing spam.

Any changes you make in My Profile are effective for all your bill payment service accounts in the CheckFree Payment Network.

In My Profile, you can also remove your Microsoft account and cancel your MyCheckFree.com service.

Tip Tip
If your My Profile changes don't immediately appear on other MyCheckFree.com pages, use your browser's refresh option to display the updated information. For example, if an account you just added doesn't appear in the payment account list on the Enter E-bill Payment Information page, refresh that page.

Changing My Name, Address, Phone Number, or E-mail Address

If information in your personal profile changes, you should update it as soon as possible on the Personal Information page. We need accurate information in case it is necessary to contact you.

Steps To change your information:

  1. Go to your profile; the Personal Information page opens automatically.
  2. In the Personal Information section, click Change.
    The Change Personal Information page opens.
  3. Type your changes in the appropriate boxes.
    Note: Your e-mail address is required. All of your e-bill summaries and information about your bill payment service go to the e-mail address you type on this page. If you change your e-mail address and don't see your e-bill notifications or other messages from MyCheckFree.com regarding your bill payment service, check your spam folder. Occasionally, messages are flagged as spam by e-mail service providers. If this happens, add the e-mail address from a message or e-bill notification to your address book. Check your e-mail program for more details about managing spam.
  4. Click Save Changes.
    Your changes are made, and the new information appears on the Personal Information page.

Changing My Sign-in ID and Password

You can change your sign-in ID and your password at any time. If you change your sign-in ID or password, the new information is effective immediately. Use your new sign-in ID or password the next time you sign in to MyCheckFree.com.

Steps To change your sign-in ID or password:

  1. Go to your profile; the Personal Information page opens automatically.
  2. In the Sign-in ID and Password section, click Change next to the item you want to change.
    The Change Sign-In Information page opens.
  3. In Current Password, type your password. You must type your current password before you can change your MyCheckFree.com sign-in ID or password.
  4. Do either of the following:
    • If you chose to change your sign-in ID, type your new sign-in ID and confirm it in the appropriate boxes.
    • If you chose to change your password, type your new password and confirm it in the appropriate boxes.
      Note: Passwords must be between six and eight characters long and must contain at least one letter and one number, but no spaces.
  5. Click Save Changes when you are finished.
    The Personal Information page opens. Your changes are effective immediately.

I Forgot My Password

For security reasons, we cannot tell you over the phone what your current password is. If you forget your password, follow these instructions to reset a new password online.

Steps To reset your password:

  1. On the Sign-in page, click the Forgot your sign-in ID or password link.
    The Password and Sign-in ID Assistance page opens.
  2. Enter the e-mail address used when you enrolled for this service and follow the instructions on your screen.

Removing My Microsoft account

Microsoft account is a service from Microsoft Corporation that allows you to sign in to a number of participating Web sites using your e-mail address and a single password. If you currently have an active Microsoft account that you can use to sign in to this service, the Microsoft account section appears at the bottom on the Personal Information page. If you remove your Microsoft account on this page, you must use your MyCheckFree.com sign-in ID the next time you sign in to your payment service.

Steps To remove your Microsoft account:

  1. Go to your profile; the Personal Information page opens automatically.
  2. In the Microsoft account section, click Remove if you no longer want to use your Microsoft account to sign in to MyCheckFree.com.
  3. Your Microsoft account is removed from your profile.
