The Inbox Page

MyCheckFree.com provides a way for you to send and receive messages about your payment service. You can send us a message about a specific payment or any other question you might have. We will respond to your general question in one to two business days; we will respond to your question about a specific payment in three to four business days.

The Inbox page shows all messages you have received through MyCheckFree.com. You may receive the following types of messages:

The Inbox page displays a note to identify all messages that you have not already viewed.

Reading My Messages

If you are expecting a response from customer service, check your messages periodically.

Steps To read a message you've received:

  1. Go to Messages.
    The Inbox page opens.
  2. Click View next to the message you want to read.
    The View Message page opens, which displays the text of the message, the sender, the subject, and the date the message was sent.
  3. Click Close when you are finished reading the message.
    The Inbox page opens.

Deleting a Message

You can delete any message in your inbox.

caution Caution!
If you delete a message, it is permanently removed from MyCheckFree.com. Before you delete a message, you can save it or print a copy by using your browser's Save As or Print feature.

Steps To delete a message you've received:

  1. Go to Messages.
    The Inbox page opens.
  2. Click Delete next to the message you want to delete.
    The message is deleted from your inbox.

Sending a General Message

If you have a question that is not directly related to a specific payment or that is not answered in the help or in the frequently asked questions (FAQs), send us a general message. On the Create a Message page, there is a list of questions or topics to choose from when sending a message, or you can send a free-form message. Try to select a question or topic from the list whenever possible so that your question can be answered more quickly.

Steps To send a general message:

  1. Go to Messages.
    The Inbox page opens.
  2. Click Create Message.
    The Create a Message page opens.
  3. In Specific Reason, select the reason that most closely matches the problem you are experiencing or the reason you have a question.
  4. In Subject, type a descriptive subject for the message.
  5. In Message, type your message and include any information that helps explain your situation or question.
  6. Click Send.
    Your message is sent and the Message Sent page opens.

Check Messages in one to two business days for a reply.

Sending an Inquiry About a Payment

If you are experiencing a payment problem that you are unable to solve, you can send us a message about the payment by going to the Payment Activity page, viewing the payment you have a question about, and clicking the Inquire about this payment... link. The message will be delivered to customer service along with the details of your payment. You should check Messages in three to four business days for a reply.

You can only inquire about a payment that meets the following conditions:

Steps To send us a message about a payment on the Payment Activity page:

  1. Go to Payment Activity.
    The Payment Activity page opens.
  2. Find the payment you have a question about.
  3. Click View.
    The View Payment page opens.
  4. Click Inquire about this payment....
    The Send Payment Inquiry page opens.
  5. Complete all of the boxes that you can so we have as much information about your situation as possible.
  6. In Additional Comments, include any other comments that help explain the problem.
  7. Click Send.
    Your message is sent and the Payment Inquiry Sent page opens.

The Sent Page

The Sent page shows all messages you sent to customer service. The messages are ordered by date, with the most recent date appearing first in the list.

Reading Messages I've Sent

You can view any of the messages you sent to customer service.

Steps To read a message you sent:

  1. Go to Messages.
    The Inbox page opens.
  2. Click Sent.
    The Sent page opens.
  3. Click View next to the message you want to read.
    The View Sent Message page opens, which displays the text of the message, the recipient, the subject, and the date the message was sent.
  4. Click Close when you are finished reading the message.
    The Sent page opens.

Deleting a Message I've Sent
